Everything You Need To Know About Google Calendar API Key

Google Calendar is scheduling software that a lot of businesses used to prefer. Through this, you and your team can see their scheduled meetings in real-time. One user can share his calendar with others instantly. You need to create a Google Calendar API (Application programming interface) to schedule meetings on Google Calendar.

The steps to create a Google Calendar API Key are

  1. Open the Google Developers console and sign in with your Gmail ID.

  2. Then, click on the “Create Project” link at the top of the page.

  3. Give a suitable name to your project and then click on the Create button.

  4. When the project is created, you’ll see a notification at the top-right corner. Click on the notification icon.

  5. Click on the newly created project in the drop-down section.

  6. Then click on the “Enable APIs and get credentials like keys” option.

  7. Click on the “ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES” option.

  8. Then type calendar in the search bar and click on the Google Calendar API.

  9. Click on the enable button.

  10. Click on the credentials option.

  11. Click on the Create Credentials drop-down menu.

  12. There click on the API Key.

  13. The Google Calendar API key is now generated.

  14. Then select the Restrict Key option. It will prevent unauthorized access.

  15. Now give a new name to the API key
